The best part of their story is that it was almost impossible for them not to meet.
Five years ago, a California girl with a heart for adventure traveled overseas to study abroad. Megan’s heart took her to Scotland, where she shared a flat with a few other girls. One evening Megan ventured out with the ladies for drinks at a friend’s flat, and there Colin was. It turns out that Colin was good friends with just about everyone at the party–including Megan’s Scottish flatmates–except for Megan. Only it didn’t stay that way. They had 3 months together until Megan’s semester abroad was up, but it was enough for this California girl and her Scottish boy to begin a long-distance relationship. And when Megan found her way back to Scotland, she also found that she had left her heart there–with Colin.
Over the past several months, Megan has been completing a daunting task–planning a California wedding from home while simultaneously working and maintaining her long-distance relationship. And yet when we met up with Megan and Colin for their engagement session in Ojai just the other day (Colin only having been in town for a week), it was truly as if they had simply held on to one another’s hearts all the time they were apart; they were full of love and laughter, and so clearly ready to begin their marriage and make their home–finally–together. M & C—thank you so much for such a delightfully fun afternoon! We’re pretty sure the amazing golden light was following your love and happiness around…;) See you TOMORROW! –A&N
