When he first saw her, a smile spread wide on his face. He jogged lightly down the altar steps to meet her. She stood on the arm of her father, who placed her hand in her groom’s, and together they went up the steps. They laughed when she placed a ring on his finger, and when they descended the steps, they were married.
He carried the skirt of her dress as they walked through the garden, and whispered jokes lovingly in her ear. She laughed continuously, all the while admiring her groom. He pulled her close when they danced, and she never looked more beautiful as she did when she was smiling at him. And when they finally retired for the evening, smiles still wide and laughter still abundant, they were married.
Brianne & Chris married on Saturday at the Mountain Mermaid and it was easily one of our favorite weddings this year. A gorgeous venue, a stunning and sweet couple, a beautiful and intimate ceremony, & an amazing team of vendors made this wedding wonderfully memorable. Brianne was perfect in her Tara Keely dress & sparkly Jimmy Choo’s; the groom and groomsmen were extra dapper in their bowties. Not to mention the personal details! Brianne & Chris, owners of Enegren Brewing Company, brewed a special beer for the occasion, cut into a beer-stein groom’s cake, and gave personalized beer mugs to their guests as favors. And one of my favorite memories of the evening–they danced to the most hilarious/amazingly awesome German songs! ;) Many thanks to Hallie Slade of La Boheme Events for coordinating the day perfectly, Amy Jordan of Stella Bloom Designs for the gorgeous florals, Melissa Boothe of MJB Cakes for the wonderful cakes, and DJ Kyle Taylor for rocking out the dance floor. Brianne & Chris–it was truly such an honor to document your love and your wedding day. Cheers to a lifetime of love & happiness! (P.S. We’ll be visiting the brewery soon!) ;) –A&N
