When Chris first met Elaine, he knew she had to be his. He would drive across town to visit her at her place of work at the time–a drugstore–and go out of his way to purchase a candy bar or a coke, just so he could talk to her. Elaine was quite resistant for some time–a year or so, if we’re being specific–but Chris eventually warmed her heart. She finally agreed to a date 6 years ago, and the rest–history.
When Chris purchased Elaine’s engagement ring, it burned a hole in his pocket so bad that he rushed home and proposed to her while she was eating lunch. And she said yes before she could even swallow that bite of ham sandwich. I didn’t witness his proposal, but I imagine that same eagerness and excitement Chris displayed that day is what I saw on his face just before he saw his bride for the first time. Chris & Elaine’s wedding day unfolded beautifully this past Sunday at Camarillo Ranch, and Nate & I couldn’t count ourselves more blessed to have captured it.
Elaine & Chris–We just like you guys too much! You both are hilarious, handsome, and sweet–and couldn’t be more perfect for each other. And your wedding day was a perfect celebration of your love. We hope you’re enjoying Maui with everything you’ve got! ;) –Much love, A + N
The day started…with shoes. ;)
Elaine’s mother helped her with her dress.
Elaine & Chris opted to have a First Look, and I think Chris’ reaction to seeing his bride for the first time is priceless.
The guys were a handsome bunch–I loved the newsboy caps.
And the ladies…absolutely stunning.
Elaine’s father walked her down the aisle.
Because we completed all of the family and bridal party portraits before the ceremony, we had time to roam Camarillo Ranch and capture more portraits of Elaine and Chris…with a gorgeous sunset.
Many thanks to Yamaguchi’s for Elaine’s perfect bouquet and all of the amazing florals.
Right about at this time, I died and went to wedding photographer’s heaven:
A huge thank you must go to Jannine Landan, who worked endlessly to arrange every last sweet detail and made sure that Nate & I had what we needed, when we needed it.
The yummy dessert table, made up of delicious homemade family recipes & a cake and goodies from Rabalais’ Bistro.
The first dance:
Before the blessing, Chris’ grandfather told the newlyweds that he was really looking forward to having grandchildren…and he highly encouraged them to practice towards achieving his dream! ;)
After dinner, the dance party really started. ;)
